Sara Rue weight loss story. After dropping four dress sizes since December 2009, actress Sara Rue has unveiled her new look.
Since signing on as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, the Big Bang Theory and Less Than Perfect TV star has lost 50lbs, going from a US size 14 (UK 18) to a size 6 (UK 10). Rue, 36, shed the weight over eight months by sticking to the Jenny Craig meal plan and taking up regular exercise.
Sara Rue weight loss goal was 30 lbs and she has described herself in the past as an ’emotional eater’.
She has also admitted that her weight battle has been made more difficult by being in the public eye.
‘My weight has fluctuated my whole life, and because I’ve been on television since I was 11 years old, everyone has seen it,’ she explained to People magazine in 2009.
‘I think like so many women in this country I have a problem controlling what I eat sometimes based on my emotional health.’
“I have such a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had in my life,” Rue, 36, said. “I’ve learned how to control portions; I’ve learned how to eat healthfully.” Best of all, she is enjoying exercise for the first time in her life. Rue, who used to just walk the dogs around the block, now regularly logs 45-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week on the treadmill and is in training for her first half marathon.
But her eight-month journey was not without its fair share of obstacles. “I spent the first few months of this program wearing my pedometer and getting in my 10,000 steps every day,” Rue says. “When I started running I would run for one minute and walk for ten. Now I can run for two-and-a-half hours straight. That’s insane! I never would have thought six months ago that I would be able to run that much.” Nor did she think she’d be enjoying another activity—shopping. “Barely squeezing into a size 14 when she embarked upon her weight loss journey, the 5’8” Rue is now a lean “size 6.”

Sara Rue weight loss has plenty of diet tricks up her sleeve.
“I try not to eat animal protein after 7:30 p.m.,” she says. “And when I make pasta, I layer the bottom of the bowl with fresh spinach. That way you’re having the pasta, but with half the carbs.”
On her wedding she had three kinds of cakes, including red velvet and pumpkin caramel,” Rue said she had one of each! A very small sliver of every kind is the way to go.
Sara she still inspires other couples to get in shape for their big days.
You can do what Sara did. If you can control your food portions size, you will control your body weight. The key is keeping your body moving by doing any of these things : walk , jog, park your car a little further from the store so you can walk a little extra.
